TGA - Solved by God's grace

Our second daughter Rebecca was born on 30th July 2008. While she was in her mother’s womb, there were so symptoms of TGA. About 10-12 hours after the birth the baby started turning blue colour. Through a detailed check up, doctors found out that the baby is having Transposition of Great Arteries (TGA). Doctors said, this problem only can be solved by a correction surgery. Since we were in Saudi Arabia, we did not have any facility to do the surgery there. The baby was kept in the hospital for next 7 days. During the stay, baby was given a medicine called Prostaglandin (I am not sure of the spelling).

On 6th August 2008 we flown to our home country India and baby was taken directly taken to Amrutha hospital (Cochin, Kerala). On 12th August, the correction surgery was done and by the Grace of God almighty it was a very successful surgery. We thank Dr. Krisha Kumar and his team – in particular Dr. Suresh Rao, who led the surgery – for the wonderful service they are doing. God bless them.

Now baby is 8 months old. By God’s grace she is very healthy now. According to Dr. Krishna Kumar, we can treat this baby as a normal baby.

I strongly believe, there is nothing impossible when God is with you. Trust in him, believe in him and love him with all your heart.

for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you’” (Hebrews 13:5).
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2).

Love,
